Be a Testimony
Hi y’all, hope you all had an amazing week!! Mine was a
little bit on the down side, but through it all I remain thankful!!This week’s write-up is inspired by today’s service. Today
marked fresher’s welcome service in my fellowship and the service was amazing.
The particular aspect of the day that caught my attention was the testimonies
and the message.
Testimonies have a way of making you reflect on what you have been through, make you thankful of those period in your life when you went through trials.
Testimonies have a way of telling you that you’ve got hope for whatever situation you are going through, someone else came out victorious in that tribulation that seems so disheartening.
So, a testifier, who is a fresher thanked God because she wrote her JAMB this year, her O’ levels this year, her post-utme this year and gained admission this year. Another testifier thanked God for his getting admission to the university on his sixth attempt. That testimony brought me to remembrance and thanks for the faithfulness of God, I gained admission to my school on my fourth attempt.
The message was about faith, we have all heard different preaching on faith! Don’t you ever let your present condition make your future prediction! Every trial has its own expiry date… 1 Cor 10:13, you are not tried beyond what you can bear, like Kirk Franklin’s song. The testimonies are flooding…

After my third attempt, I almost decided not to write
another exam but thank God for those who refused to give up on me, my uncles
inspired confidence in me, my mum never gave up on me. Thanks also to those who
believed I wouldn’t enter the university, they spurred me to my destiny, and
they gave me a dogged determination to make it to despite all odds.

So here’s to boost someone’s confidence, don’t you ever give
up on yourself, you might need to take just one step to get to that
breakthrough, to that point when your prayers becomes testimonies.
You owe it to those who believe in you, to those that have
faith in you to never give up. To your detractors, to those who expect you to
fail, you owe it to them to disappoint them, make something enviable of yourself.
Don’t ever stop being a testimony!! Your story might just uplift someone
somewhere.
Till when next we chat, keep being productive!!!

well said.. i got admission after almost 5 years..I made it through those five years without support from anyone but God and a family friend who happened to be my pastor in church and his wife.. not even my own parents.. it was hard but i made it through.. although that isn't an end in itself but it was a major step forward... I had to get close to God to make it through.. i think thats the most important thing; know where you are going and get close to God. thats how u get the strenght to make it through.. brilliant piece...
